Profile
In over 30 years of legal practice, I have 20 years practice as a commercial barrister, as well as having been a General Counsel, Senior Executive at ASIC and law firm partner.
My practice has included all areas of commercial disputes, ranging from large and complex contract, banking and competition matters, to small business disputes in franchising, insolvency and insurance matters. One of my key areas of expertise is dealing with complex accounting and financial problems.
I am a Past Chair of both the Australian Bar Association’s International Committee and the UNCITRAL National Coordination Committee of Australia. I am currently Chair LAWASIA’s UNCITRAL Committee, a Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Australian Chapter, a Fellow of CIArb, a member of ACICA and a member of the NSW Bar’s Wellbeing Committee. I am a member of the Thailand Arbitration Centre Panel and have recently passed the New York Bar Exam.
Personal Comment
As a result of my interest in UNCITRAL and arbitration, I see significant potential for the future use of ODR, particularly in multi-jurisdictional disputes.
