Lauren is an experienced commercial litigator and international arbitration lawyer, currently at Bankside Chambers.
Lauren is admitted to practice in New Zealand and England & Wales. Her dual-qualification has seen her work under most arbitration rules including ICC, LCIA, SIAC, UNCITRAL and ICSID representing a variety of clients including insurance, energy, property, construction and financial services. Lauren has significant expertise in investment-treaty arbitration, recently acting against the Kingdom of Spain in a dispute arising out of changes to the regulation of renewable energy investments.
Lauren is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a fellow of AMINZ. Lauren obtained an LLB(Hons) and BSc from the University of Auckland and an LLM from the European University Institute in Florence Italy. She also holds a diploma in International Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
