‍About Latoya

I am an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) based in Brisbane, Queensland. My practice focuses on parenting, custody and property arrangements. I work within a child focused framework.

I have had the opportunity to work on over 1000 family mediation cases with parties located throughout Australia and internationally. I have extensive experience working across various platforms; telephone, online, face-to-face, joint as well as shuttle conferences. My role as an FDRP requires me to be competent to manage complex issues such as family and domestic violence, cultural differences, addictions, mental health and child abuse. I offer parties empathetic support and work collaboratively so they have the tools to problem solve and create arrangements that are in the best interests for their children. As a result, I have seen reduced conflict between parties, children’s needs addressed, and families kept out of the Family Court System.

I am accredited with the Attorney General’s Department and a member of the Mediation Institute. Founder of Future Focus Mediation. Co-founder of Experienced Mediators and panellist for Family Matters QLD, Interact Online and Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association (LECNA).
